Brought my mum to Vietnam, for Mother's day present! Part of it was for myself, haha, been wanting to visit Vietnam. I chose the 3rd largest city in Vietnam, instead of the more touristy places like HCM and Hanoi. Danang is the new route added to AA line and the ticket is pretty cheap. And to my surprise the flight was almost full. I think my mum had a great time there, so did I
Headed straight to the hotel after we arrived, the airport is super near to the town center. Get freshen up and took a cab to get us to Hoi An town, which is about 30 mins drive away. Spent a night in Hoi An as it was the full moon festival on the 14th of the month in the Chinese calender.
On the way to Hoi An, we stopped by this place called Marble mountain.
And Yes, you could take a lift up but the lift was freaking down that day.
We basically walked up, thats my mum at the back. We tend to walk and 'workout' when we travel. The last round we went Hong Kong, we were mad tired on the 5th day, but no joke, my mum can really keep up with me.
After some sweat, we arrived half of the mountain.
Temples are everywhere.
I particularly love this cave, with statues engraved from the rock.
The sunlight is love! There were few caves, but we did not visit all, the mountain was kinda empty and we were abit scared to go up on our own.
That's our hotel in Hoi An with a mini swimming pool for like RM 80 a night.
Room was decent too! Thanh Van 1 Hotel is the name, note the '1', they have Thanh Van 2 and 3. Good thing about Danang, they have wifi in hotel and coffee shops for free!
Temple getting ready for Wesak Day
The street was empty in the afternoon. Temperature was at 40degree, crazy not?!
